Luxury Castle Holidays
Ludlow Castle Shropshire, dating from 1086, has been privately owned by the Earls of Powis since 1811.
Castle House, situated in the private grounds of Ludlow Castle, was fully restored and renovated over three years and completed in Spring 2007 to the highest specification, in a building described by historian David Lloyd M.B.E, as “the last grand mansion built in Ludlow”.
Castle House Self Catering Holiday Apartments
The renovation of Castle House was undertaken by The Right Honourable The Earl of Powis and the Trustees of Powis Estate. The holiday apartments are furnished and decorated to the highest specification while retaining all the individual character and architectural features discovered during the three years of renovation work. An in-house team of skilled and dedicated craftsmen completed the task under the direction of the Agent and Architects Garner Southall Partnership. The accommodation comprises three self catering apartments – “The Prince Arthur and Catherine of Aragon”, “The Sir Henry Sidney” and “The Comus”.
